Hi petsit and welcome to Safer Networking Forums :)
You got some infections there...
Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.
Please download SmitfraudFix (http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip) (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.
Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc...processutil.htm (http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/processutil/processutil.htm)
NOTE: Do not run any other options from SmitfraudFix until I tell you to do so!

So how did I get infected in the first place?
Stand Up and Be Counted ! (http://www.malwarecomplaints.info/index.php)
The site offers people who have been (or are) victims of malware the opportunity to document their story and, in that way, launch a complaint against the malware and the makers of the malware.
Stay clean and be safe ;)
Thank you heaps for this, I really appreciate your help and patience.
Just one other question I also have Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_08 installed, do I remove this also before installing the new java file.
Hi me again, getting the following finds in Spybot after machine is clean. Do I need to worry about this?
Microsoft.Windows.Security.InternetExplorer: Settings (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN\iexplore.exe!=W=1
Microsoft.Windows.Security.InternetExplorer: Settings (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1685510453-2425666487-2336807098-1006\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN\iexplore.exe!=W=1
Microsoft.Windows.Security.InternetExplorer: Settings (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN\iexplore.exe!=W=1
Hi again :)
If you haven't edited those registry values, you can just Fix the entries with Spybot S&D. Here's some more info (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=6749)
And yes, you should remove that other old Java too...
:bigthumb:
Thanks for that, still could not stop these entries fron being detected in Spybot so I added them to the ignore list now I know they are not a treat or problem. Once again thanks for your help and time.:bigthumb:
That's great news and you're very welcome :D:
