browser redirect + crash

In advance, thanks for helping.
My problem seems to be that I get redirected to advertising sites 2 out of every 3 clicks through google. That happened for about 3 days, then today the browser started to crash, and AIM stopped responding fairly often. I've tried to do a few virus scans, but they've been coming up empty. Any suggestions? I've posted a HJT log, as you'll likely request.

I see nothing in the HJT log, if you have not resolved these issues, since you have AVG Anti-Spyware onboard, follow these directions.

Please describe the ads you are getting, where do they direct you. Do you receive them when you offline as well as online? Error messages? I need them "word for word".
