When I am doing actions such as talking on msn or on the internet everythiong slows down and I get this message come up /daslied.da.funpic.org/index.php?pic2038.jpg. If I am in msn then it comes up and sends it in a conversation and if I am on the internet then it comes up in the download toolbar (I have firefox). I have hxxx://daslied.da.funpic.org/index.php?pic2038.jpg what? :D

"BEFORE you POST" -Preliminary Steps and scanning with SPYBOT-S&D (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

Then a helper will take a look as soon as available and give further instructions. ;)

i followed the instructions on the thread and cant see what I did wrong. I tried posting in the link and it was exactly the same forum. Please delete the other post and tell me what I have done wrong as I can't see it.

Please take the following steps before you post.

If you have not yet installed Spybot-S&D read here:

Spybot-S&D Version 1.4 Download (http://www.spybot.info/en/download/index.html)

Make sure you update Spybot-S&D so that when you scan you have the latest definitions.

Open Spybot-S&D
Click on 'Update' in the navigation bar
Search for available updates
Select all available relevant updates
Select a download location
Download the selected updates
If you receive a Bad Checksum!! error select another download server

1) Run an on-line Anti Virus scan.

Panda ActiveScan
*Note: There are reports you would receive advertisements from the company on a continual basis so be careful which email address is used.

eTrust Antivirus Web Scanner (http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx)

Bit Defender Virus Scan (http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php)

Trend Micro Online Scan (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/)

Housecall For alternate browsers (http://fr.trendmicro-europe.com/consumer/products/housecall_launch.php)
Do not be concerned if the scanner "finds" things it says it cannot fix.
Save the log/report at the end of the on-line scan to post in your topic

An on-line scan is not the same as using your resident anti-virus program which is why we ask to see the results of an on-line scanner.


2) Reboot your computer into SafeMode by doing the following:

Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, begin tapping F8.
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

3) Open Spybot-S&D while still in safe mode.

Close all browsers, check for problems and fix everything found in red
Repeat until no more items are found in red


a) Close Spybot-S&D
b) Reboot back into Windows

A helper will then assist you as soon as available.

thanks for the help but i have actually managed to remove the virus myself. I found that it had embedded itself into windows live meesenger so whenever the porgram was opened so was the virus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program now and my computer seems to be running fine. I will run spybot anyway just to make sure that the virus is fully gone.
