access violation and crash

i am running win xp and spybot 1.4 updated on 11/22/06. when i run search and destroy, i get an error message: access violation at address XXXX in module 'usp10.dll'. reas of address XXXX, where XXXX constantly changes as the scan progresses. eventually spybot crashes and closes. i have my all my open programs closed, including avg when i get this message. didn't see any specific information on this error in the forum. anyone have any ideas?

Similar errors at various points during the scan have been reported on numerous occasions by people running Windows 95/98/ME systems.

The scan terminates when the error occurs.

The error seems to be transient in nature and other people seem to have been able to overcome the error by limiting the system resources used by other processes in the system.
In other words, run as little as possible while running the Spybot scan.
