1st two results always ads for google

you know its crazy because i have the exact same problem...every single word you said is right....doesnt do it in any browser except IE...and i had the same problem before i upgraded to 7 (was doin it on IE6 too). Did anyone here download the kazaa lite megapack codec..heard that might be a problem....we gatta figure this out..its drivin me CRAZY!!

Not a whole lot of information for me about what is happening? and the HJT log shows nothing except an out of date Java program that will get you infected, see this information:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\ <<< out of date, uninstall all old Java and download the newest version.

Since you did mention: kazaa lite megapack codec let's check for Smitfraud like this:
Please download SmitfraudFix (http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip) (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

I got the log from Smitfraudfix and there is nothing showing in it. There is also nothing showing in the HJT log. I need some information so I will know how to proceed and you have given me none. Please take the time to describe in detail exactly what your computer is doing. Post any error messages you are receiving "word for word".

really i cant say much, whenever i use any type of search engine on IE all the search results come up and redirect to spam sites...virus/spyware/everything scans find nothing..reinstalled IE same problem.....only on IE with all search engines

That's not much for me to go on, you can't say where you are being directed or what spam you are seeing. Are you receiving any popups? Any error messages?

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.
(hold those logs until the end of the instructions)
