Ok I have a older Sony Vaio and I updated to IE7 recently. I couldn't click on links like I liked from the last version so I downloaded a "patch". Well now I'm getting corrupt apoint.exe files and all kinds of wild stuff. I ran Hijack this and here you go. Any help and I will return the favor $$$.

Welcome to the forum, I am sure the website can use donations to help with expenses, but we are all volunteers who are motivated by our desire to help and not paypal:)

A look at your HJT log shows me junk that needs removing, but nothing jumps out at me as anything that would cause your issues. Since you did not give me the error message so I could search it "word for word" I searched for what you did give me: apoint.exe and this is what returned: http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/apoint/

It may be your driver is corrupt or outdated? I am going to suggest since this occured in conjuction with the Internet Explorer 7.0 download, that something might have occured during that download. My first thought was to uninstall it and download it again, but since you get free service for IE, and the folks at Microsoft know more about these issues than anyone else, why not take advantage of it. Once they resolve your issue, post to let me know and I will do some cleaning to help you out. I will ask tashi:) to leave this topic open, but please do this on a timely basis.
