Hi,
AVG anti-virus detected a Trojan flooder .AKE on my computer this morning. It seemed to contain the threat and said to reboot in order to complete healing, but now my computer shuts down during reboot. I CAN reboot in safe mode and have done so. I also ran another scan with AVG and once again it said the threat was healed, but to reboot to complete the process and again, the computer shuts down.

I am running a scan in safe mode right now with ewido. So far nothing detected.

Does anyone have experience with this trojan ?

Thanks !

I forgot to mention that I ran a scan with Spybot S&D and nothing was detected.

Hi there.

A Trojan-Flooder can be used to as an E-Mail Flooder to send mass e-mail to flood or disrupt a PC or network.

Please follow the procedure in this link: "BEFORE you POST" -Preliminary Steps and scanning with SPYBOT-S&D (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

Then start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22)

Once you have posted a helper will advise you as soon as available.

Cheers.

Thank you for the quick response.

I'm a little perplexed as to what to do since I can only boot in safe mode which prevents me from posting a hijackthis log. I am posting this from another computer. I already ran a Spybot S&D scan in safe mode and it detected nothing. Ewido is scanning now and is about 3/4 done, but so far nothing there either.
