View Full Version : What is Bad Checksums ? ?

I just joined this site today. When I run updates I get a long string of *bad checksums* . Please explain what this means and what I should do about it.

A Bad Checksum indicates that the MD5 hash value of the downloaded file did not match the expected MD5 hash value of that file. In other words, the file downloaded file was not received correctly.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I followed your instructions and eliminated 12 bad checksums and everything is now up to date .
