I am having trouble removing some possible malware from my computer. Search result links from most search engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc) get redirected to some other link. I have run SpyBot to no avail. Below is my HijackThis log. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

hi Janlor,

you have two firewalls running, jettico and avg firewall. you only need one.
do i see two antivirus apps? macafee and avg. only one is needed.

i would uninstall one firewall and one antivirus via add/remove programs panel.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log.

I uninstalled the AVG program (used it to try and fix the problem myself) and the Jettico Firewall program was uninstalled prior to this. (I don't know why it's still showing up on my HJT log though).

Shelf Life,

I did as you requested. When I ran ipconfig /flushdns I got this message:

hows it looking on that end? redirects gone now?

go to start>run type in cmd at the prompt type in:
net start dnscache
then type ipconfig /flushdns

if it dosnt work its no big deal, just mean your dns client service may be set to manual. xp flushes out the dns cache automatically anyway after so much time.
