Hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

We're trying to use the Spybot Intranet Update Server for our corporate network. I am currently testing, but seem to be running into problems. I have unzipped the files into a folder on our webserver (IIS6) under the Inetpub folder, so c:\inetpub\spybot, I have configured the server as recommended in the instructions pdf, using:

Update files path: c:\inetpub\spybot\updatefiles
Update information file: c:\inetpub\spybot\spybot.ini
Intranet server address: http://spybot.intranet.com/updatefiles

In the client config under 'Update server' I have set the address of updatefile to http://spybot.intranet.com and the same for configuration file. I have saved the setting to a registry, and then imported that on to a client machine running Spybot S&D.

No the two problems that I'm getting are:
1) when I sync the update server with safer networking, some of the updates are downloaded, but include.zip says 'file missing!'

2) When I try to update from the client machine, all I get is 'No newer updates available', but if I remove the registry settings pointing to the intranet server, and update direct from safer networking, there are loads of updates.

Does anyone know how to fix my problem? Has anyone set up the intranet server successfully?

Any help much appreciated

Ben

Ok, ignore the above post, I have managed to get the client to see the updates on the intranet server, I had to register .ini file type as a MIME (text/plain) so that IIS could serve the file.
Although include.zip is still missing, but then I notice that this is missing from the direct safer networking updates also, so possibly doesn't matter!
