I ran Bitdefender on line scan and it detected the following file as being infected:

C:\ programfiles\commonfiles\microsoftshared\shoebox\gwcal.sbs=>/123692

Properties on this file as follows:

Spyware Supplemental file
Size 704 kb
Date 7-5-2000
This window is a main Spybot search & Destroy paige

Ran Jotti on this file with the following results:

Exploit:Win.32.ms05-053.gen Probable variant
Possible infected malware
This may be a false positive

Ms05 does not apply to my operating system which is Windows ME

Is this a false positive?

Thanks

Spybot does use .sbs file extensions (Spyware supplemental file) and this may be why BitDefender is identifying the file as belonging to Spybot Search & Destroy.

To the best of my knowledge Spybot does not normally store anything in "c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\shoebox" nor does it use a file name of "g wcal.sbs".

Therefore I would surmise that this may not be a false positive. However, I suggest that you double check with BitDefendor support:
