Hello,

ZoneAlarm treated a virus on access : win32/Bifrost!generic
Did a scan with Spybot and found Fake.Wget and Bifrose.LA
Repaired with Spybot and it was gone for that time.
After a virus scan and Spybot scan nothing was found anymore.
When I restarted my pc and did a scan again the same files/spyware was there again.
I did a scan with Hijackthis after the repair and after a restart without repair.
Can anyone tell me if my pc is still infected?
If so, how do I get rid of these files?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
I did all what you told me to do.
During the scan with avg, zonealarm found the virus again.
treated a virus on access : win32/Bifrost!generic
AVG did not find any virus.
Ather this I did a scan with spybot and did find nothing as well.
How can I be sure that this virus has gone?
What does vbnat.exe means or do on my pc?

hi >>Stan<<

What does vbnat.exe means or do on my pc

a .exe can be called anything.i didnt recognize it as a .exe from windows or as malware. putting it in a search engine didnt produce any hits so it had to go.

zonealarm found the virus again
does it provide the path to the file?

when za finds the file are there any options with what to do with it? like move, quarantine, delete etc? is the avg virus vault empty?

you should only use one antivirus, two (resident) isnt better with anitvirus apps.they dig deep into windows and two might cause problems.

hi >>Stan<<,

Did a complete restore

ok but sometimes malware can get archived in system restore points. so if you do a restore it possible to get the malware again. not saying this is your case, your log dosnt look that bad.
