Anti Vermins / "System Alert" clean-up successful?

Ladies and Gentlemen;

Earlier today, I noticed my computer infected with the Anti Vermins malware, along with a "System Alert!" tray icon whose process I couldn't identify.

I believe I've cleaned the infestation following directions on this forum; I'd used the SmitFraudFix referenced elsewhere and my HijackThis log shows nothing I can positively identify as malware...

I'm still concerned my PC may be infested, however.

However; the "Before You Post" article states, "Please do not post HijackThis logs just to feel good about your clean machine which has no indication of infection."

Would someone here please offer some advice? Thank you in advance.

I forgot to mention, Avast! AV with current definitions has detected no problems.

I'm trying to run the Kaspersky Online scanner, but after trying various VDB mirrors it fails stating the "definitions are corrupted, please restart online scan."

Copy/paste into your own new topic.

If you did not use this fix, then please follow the directions but only complete the "Search" function in Smitfraudfix. Post that report and a HJT log and I will take a look. If the rapport.txt indicates it has found infections then complete the "Clean" instructions in item#7 and post both reports and the HJT log.

Download the newest version and uninstall all old versions in Add Remove programs.

Use HJT to remove these two items...not malware.

Sounds good then, let's clean out the system restore files like this:
System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
