Safer-Networking Forums FAQ

Here you can find answers to questions about how the board works. Use the links or search box below to find your way around.

Avatars

We provide three sets of stock avatars for our members to choose from.

Fonts, Colours, Size

Please try to use the default forum settings.

Huge and tiny fonts or posts written in rainbow colors are usually not necessary and can make a thread hard to read. Text written in all capitals is considered to be shouting.

Of course this would not apply to those who may have difficulties with their vision.

By the same token please do not use disposable emails to register.

Can I edit my own posts?

1. In the Spybot - Search & Destroy forum, there is a 15 minute time frame to edit one's post. It lessens the chance of an answer referring to things the original poster has deleted.

2. In the Malware Removal Forum, members may not edit their posts. A helper may already be analyzing the information given. However one can add a post to the thread if necessary.

3. Generally topics are not deleted, especially where help was given in the malware forum. Please check your logs for any personal information, such as email addresses, before posting them.

If you need to request certain details be removed from logs, please private message tashi.
