Infected Help! posting DDS notes and Spybot notes

Hi, I have a problem with fake windows security alert, and also with websites redirecting. I have run AVG, Spybot Search & Destroy, SUPERantispyware, and Malwarebytes. Spybot was unable to remove the following... I will first post my Spybot results, and then I will post the DDS reports below that. Thank you for any help.

- At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
- If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

- Download OTL to your desktop.
- Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
- When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
- Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
- Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  - When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt.
    Note:These logs can be located in the OTL. folder on you C:\ drive if they fail to open automatically.
  - Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply. You may need two posts to fit them both in.

First OTL scan... Also when I went to delete DNA it was in the Add/Remove programs list, but when I pushed remove it said it had already been removed and would you like to delete it from the list, I pushed yes.

This is something I have not seen before, all the hosts file backups generally show on your OTL log but they did not but ESET found and removed them

How are things running now, any redirects of unwanted pop up windows ?

Hi,

Everything seems to be running pretty good now. Although I ran those malwarebytes and spybot s&d and superantispyware about 2 weeks ago and then everything went back to normal and then all of a sudden the popups and everything started to happen again.

Then I posted the message on this board. So it seems good now, but who knows if it will stay that way.

I also had the same problem on a laptop, and the fake antivirus program went away with those programs being run about 2 months ago and with system restore. Everything is still good with the laptop, except it still does redirects all the time.

If your laptop is redirecting than thats a problem. Working more than one computer on this thread can get quite confusing so if you like when we're done here, just start a new topic for the laptop.

Why don't you run a OTL Scan again and post a new log and lets make sure nothing has returned.

A few things you need to do

Update your Java

Please download JavaRa to your desktop and unzip it to its own folder
- Run JavaRa.exe, pick the language of your choice and click Select. Then click Remove Older Versions.
- Accept any prompts.
- Open JavaRa.exe again and select Search For Updates.
- Select Update Using Sun Java's Website then click Search and click on the Open Webpage button. Download and install the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version for your computer.
Clear old infected Restore Points

System Restore is a component of Microsoft's Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems that allows for the rolling back of system files, registry keys, installed programs, etc., to a previous state in the event of malfunctioning or failure. Old restore points can be a source of re-infection.

Please follow the steps below to create a clean restore point:
1. Click Start > Run > copy and paste the following into the run box:
  
  %SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe
2. Press OK. Choose Create a Restore Point then click Next.
3. Name it (something you'll remember) and click Create.
4. When the confirmation screen shows the restore point has been created click Close.
Then remove all previous Restore Points
1. Click Start > Run > copy and paste the following into the run box:
  
  cleanmgr
2. Choose to scan drive C:\ (if C:\ is your main drive).
3. At the top, click on More Options tab. Click the Clean up... button in the System Restore box.
4. Click on the Yes button.
5. When finished, click on Cancel button to exit.
Open up OTL and click on Cleanup and it will remove tools used to clean your system along with there backups
