Manual Removal Guide for RegClean

The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "RegClean" manually.

Description:

RegClean claims to be an antispyware solution. When the user scans his computer with RegClean hundreds of alleged problems will be found. If the user wants to fix this misidentified threads he has to purchase a licence. RegClean is in close relation to SpywareBOT, AdwareAlert and other malicious software.

Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

• Shortcuts named "RegClean.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\RegClean\*.exe".

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

• Quicklaunch symbols named "RegClean.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\RegClean\RegClean.exe".
• Quicklaunch symbols named "RegClean.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\RegCleanApp\RegClean.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries named "RegClean" and pointing to "?<$PROGRAMFILES>\RegClean\RegClean.exe*".
• Entries named "RegClean" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\RegClean\RegClean.exe*".
