Description:

Win32.Agent.ahk runs in the background and copies bad libraries and executable files into the system directory. Also loads Smitfraud-C.

Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries named "win32x" and pointing to "<$SYSDIR>\mui\sc.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\aliases.ini".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\anti.bat".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\bwPk.exe".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\control.ini".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\imail.exe".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\kl32.exe".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\mirc.ini".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\remote.ini".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\run.bat".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\run32.exe".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\sc.exe".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\script.ini".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\script1.ini".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\script2.ini".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\scvhost.exe".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\udp.exe".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\vnc.bat".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\vncs.exe".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\wrc.exe".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Win32.Agent.ahk uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

• The directory at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\download".
• The directory at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\logs".
• The directory at "<$SYSDIR>\mui\sounds".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Win32.Agent.ahk uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry value "<$SYSDIR>\mui\scvhost.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
• Delete the registry value "<$SYSDIR>\mui\scvhost.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
• Delete the registry value "<$SYSDIR>\mui\scvhost.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".

If Win32.Agent.ahk uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
