Description:

This program adds itself to the favorites in IE and redirects the user to "www.crackspider.net".

Supposed Functionality:

Crackspider installs a toolbar and claims to make any software available for free.

Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "c:\Program Files\CrackSearch\toolbar.dll".
• The file at "c:\Program Files\CrackSearch\toolbar_hot_img.bmp".
• The file at "c:\Program Files\CrackSearch\toolbar_img.bmp".
• A file with an unknown location named "setup.exe".
• The file at "<$FAVORITES>\Cracks\! TheBUGS.ws - Security Related Portal.url".
• The file at "<$FAVORITES>\Cracks\!! CrackSpider.NET - Cracks search engine.url".
• The file at "<$FAVORITES>\Cracks\allseek.info - The Underground portal.url".
• The file at "<$FAVORITES>\Cracks\anyCracks.com - Keygens, patches, crackz....url".
• The file at "<$FAVORITES>\Cracks\Astalavista - Cracks search engine.url".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Crackspider uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

• The directory at "c:\Program Files\CrackSearch".

You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry key "{5b084ff8-5ce4-43dd-9319-55fbb4dddea3}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".

If Crackspider uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
