Description:

Win32.VB.nrt is a Worm, that copies itself in multiple directories and also tries to infect network directories.

Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries named "644r4" and pointing to "*.exe".
• Entries named "DesertSand" and pointing to "Fonts\*\smss.exe".
• Entries named "FreeAV" and pointing to "Fonts\*\Gaara.exe".
• Entries named "SystemRun" and pointing to "drivers\csrss.exe".

Files:

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry key "Gaara-The-Kazekage" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
• Delete the registry key "User Info" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MS Setup (ACME)\".

If Win32.VB.nrt uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
