Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

• Shortcuts that include "aconti.exe" in the target they point to.
• Shortcuts that include "aconti.exe" in the target they point to.

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

• Items that include "aconti.exe" in the target they point to.
• Items that include "aconti.exe" in the target they point to.

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries pointing to "aconti.exe -auto".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

• Products that have a key or property named "aconti".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$WINDIR>\aconti.exe".
• The file at "C:\Windows\aconti.exe".
• The file at "C:\Windows\aconti.ini".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\aconti.log".
• The file at "C:\Windows\aconti.log".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\acontidialer.txt".
• The file at "C:\Windows\acontidialer.txt".
• A file with an unknown location named "acontix.ocx".
• A file with an unknown location named "aconti.exe".
• A file with an unknown location named "free_sexsoftware.exe".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\aconti.exe".
• A file with an unknown location named "aconti.exe".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\aconti.exe".
• A file with an unknown location named "aconti.exe".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\aconti.exe".
• A file with an unknown location named "gdthinxx.exe".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\aconti.dat".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\aconti.ini".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\aconti.sdb".
• The file at "c:\aconti.log".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\APPLOG\aconti.lgc".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Aconti uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "acontiXControl", plus associated values.
• Delete the registry key "{7589EEE6-E336-11D4-8A7E-EE1D971D9B47}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "aconti" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\RemoteAccess\Profile\".
• Delete the registry value "aconti" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\RemoteAccess\Addresses\".

If Aconti uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
