My spybot tray icon sometimes says update service stopped, should it say that? Also below that sometimes it says AS & AV protection: ON but sometimes it says OFF, and below that it says internet protection: FULL, but sometimes this reads BASIC, am i still protected when it says OFF & BASIC, or is there a fault somewhere?

What does the status header in the Spybot-S&D Start Center say at that time?
Does it also say Basic protection?
Do you have a screenshot of this issue?
The next time when you get this message please also check the Spybot-S&D services.
Therefore please open the Start Center, then go to Settings. Now choose the tab System Services.
Is everything running here (in that case you should only see "Stop" buttons) or is something off (in that case you should see "Start" buttons)?

Thanks for your reply, i checked as you described above, and everything is showing that its running, meaning the stop buttons are all visible, so i'm happy that all is well, status header says FULL protection, thanks again.
