"BOOT FAILURE" after running scan in Spybot2 beta

FI just tried out the new beta today on my Dell Dimension running Windows XP Pro SP3. Install, update, scan, and virus removal all seemed to go smoothly. After the suspected malware was removed, I shut down the PC. Upon starting the machine up, instead of the windows splash screen, I received an error message: "BOOT FAILURE: SYSTEM HALTED." Now, this computer is not immaculate, but it has NEVER had any serious problems like this before. No other settings (hardware or software) were modified today, so there's a chance SpyBot is at fault.

Anyone have a similar experence? Any suggestions on how to fix my problem?
