Help! I think I've been hijacked/virus!

Installed NortonGhost 10 last week,and it caused PC to freeze.. uninstalled it, since then, windows doesn't save passwords, can't print anything(stuck in queue), Word won't save font changes,my game program keeps popping up with a window telling me to insert CD, music files won't automatically play, CD stutters, and online games freeze(for no reason)..

Tried to restore, but it wouldn't let me! :(

Hi,

It's not a virus or hijack problem. There is no evidence of any malware.

I suspect it is from the Norton Ghost problem and a software conflict. I don't think we can help with that sort of problem. :(

My best suggestion is to contact Symantec and try to get some help regarding the Norton Ghost issue (perhaps it didn't uninstall right or something they might be aware of)

A cookie:
"cookie atwola" Documents/settings/owner/cookies/owner@atwola(1).txt
is not an infection and doesn't cause any of those sort of issues at all. It is merely a text file and can't "run" anything
