The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "InfoSpace.Dogpile" manually.

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

• Products that have a key or property named "BlowsearchToolbar".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Dogpile Toolbar\ubreg.exe".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Dogpile Toolbar\ultrabar.dll".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\Downloaded Program Files\ultrabar.inf".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If InfoSpace.Dogpile uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

• The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Dogpile Toolbar".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If InfoSpace.Dogpile uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry key "BlowsearchToolbar" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Infospace\".
• Delete the registry key "{6F8ADBE2-8C92-4362-B0E6-7321AA49EE46}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{818E8BAA-BBA9-4343-AF32-C7F51582D6B5}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
• Delete the registry key "{508D52D8-117D-405A-BF53-818278D8E4A8}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
• Delete the registry key "{5E92F538-B50B-46C5-9C5F-C6EECED3F6C6}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Code Store Database\Distribution Units\".
• Delete the registry key "{6F8ADBE2-8C92-4362-B0E6-7321AA49EE46}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars\".
• Delete the registry value "{6F8ADBE2-8C92-4362-B0E6-7321AA49EE46}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser\".

If InfoSpace.Dogpile uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.

Browser:

The following browser plugins or items can either be removed directly in your browser, or through the help of e.g. Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer.

• Please check your bookmarks for links to "infospace.com/blsrch.dp.toolbar".
