The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Citofarera" manually.

Description:

Italian dialer programm. Generates autorun entries, changes zonemaps, drops severall webpage links and icons. Related to Sfonditalia and Sgrunt dialer.

Supposed Functionality:

It's a dialer.

Removal Instructions:

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

• Quicklaunch symbols named "WinMoviePlugin.lnk" and pointing to "".
• Quicklaunch symbols named "e1xplorer.lnk" and pointing to "".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries named "ioeua" and pointing to "<$APPDATA>\citofarera\sysstvmr.exe".
• Entries named "oeuai" and pointing to "<$APPDATA>\tofareraci\systvmrs.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$APPDATA>\citofarera\disinstalla.htm".
• The file at "<$APPDATA>\citofarera\sysstvmr.exe".
• The file at "<$APPDATA>\tofareraci\disinstalla.htm".
• The file at "<$APPDATA>\tofareraci\systvmrs.exe".
• The file at "<$DESKTOP>\e1xplorer.lnk".
• The file at "<$PERSONAL>\e1xplorer.lnk".
• The file at "<$FAVORITES>\e1xplorer.lnk".
• The file at "<$STARTMENU>\e1xplorer.lnk".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\e1xplorer.lnk".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Citofarera uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:
