Description:

Clickspring.Outerinfo is able to install without user consent and with no reference to uninstall the software. It installs itself to the Internet Explorer and FireFox. It also runs in background and starts the Internet Explorer with popup windows.

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries named "Outerinfo" and pointing to "?<$PROGRAMFILES>\Outerinfo\Outerinfo.exe?".
• Entries named "OuterinfoUpdate" and pointing to "?<$PROGRAMFILES>\Outerinfo\OuterinfoUpdate.exe?".
• Entries named "Outerinfo" and pointing to "?<$PROGRAMFILES>\Outerinfo\Outerinfo.exe?".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

• Products that have a key or property named "Outerinfo".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• A file with an unknown location named "MoreCracks.url".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\Outerinfo\Terms.lnk".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\Outerin\Uninstall.lnk".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Outerinfo\OinUninstall.exe".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Outerinfo\OiUninstaller.exe".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Clickspring.Outerinfo uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.

• The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Outerinfo\FF\components".

• Delete the registry key "Waba" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
• Delete the registry value "{59A40AC9-E67D-4155-B31D-4B7330FCD2D6}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\".
• Delete the registry key "Outerinfo" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".

If Clickspring.Outerinfo uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
