Description:

The Zlob.Downloader.ol trojan downloads and installs malware to infected computers for example the Emlkdvo Toolbar

Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$WINDIR>\alxvdvm.dll".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\fvkwdrt.exe".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Zlob.Downloader.ol uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry key "{3FD92B49-9C06-4EBA-9580-056159561908}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "emlkdvo.brmf", plus associated values.
• A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "emlkdvo.ToolBar.1", plus associated values.
• Delete the registry key "{94D31B75-46A8-44B2-B28B-5EADF759E736}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
• Delete the registry key "{76E8AD19-948C-4838-B652-ED2124EDC810}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
• Delete the registry value "{3FD92B49-9C06-4EBA-9580-056159561908}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\".
• Delete the registry key "{D5F4B713-73B4-43D3-9806-CE929A1E112E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{D641F671-AD83-4155-8B89-34171564A5A4}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{3260F076-2380-4746-8D5C-7EB597EB50CD}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
• Delete the registry key "{829E9D2D-0FC0-4754-AD86-B5E68E159C7D}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
• Delete the registry key "{688FCBB9-5E50-4D8A-9344-D2AC082D0D34}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
• Delete the registry value "alxvdvm" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad\".
• Delete the registry value "bvtqfvx" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad\".

If Zlob.Downloader.ol uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
