“iexplore.exe” continues to run

Hello,

I hope someone can help me with this issue. I’ve noticed that after I’ve finished with my Internet Explorer, close it, when I go into the Task Manager the “iexplore.exe” Process is still running. I can end the process by clicking on the End Process button, but I’d like to know how to stop iexplore.exe from running, after I have closed Internet Explorer normally.

I have Zone Alarm Firewall, set at its highest security level. I’ve run the following programs:

-Avast Anti-Virus
-Spybot Search & Destroy
-Lavasoft Ad-Aware
-Windows Defender
-Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool
-Trojan Hunter
-No Lop!
-Kaspersky Online Scanner

All of these programs have found nothing wrong with my system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
