Description:

Win32.Delf copies files to the system folder. Installs a browser helper object (BHO) without user consent.

Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$WINDIR>\gc_407.cnf".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\gsc_407.cnf".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\gc405.cnf".
• The file at "<$WINDIR>\gsc405.cnf".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Win32.Delf uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry key "{D1159422-16E3-462F-A93D-FB718E100407}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
• Delete the registry key "{D1159422-16E3-462F-A93D-FB718E100407}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{D1159422-16E3-462F-A93D-FB718E100407}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
• Delete the registry value "{D1159422-16E3-462F-A93D-FB718E100407}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\SharedTaskScheduler\".
• Delete the registry key "{A4F94C0C-54A7-4DB1-9AF3-B22E63D00405}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{A4F94C0C-54A7-4DB1-9AF3-B22E63D00405}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\".
• Delete the registry key "{A4F94C0C-54A7-4DB1-9AF3-B22E63D00405}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
• Delete the registry value "{A4F94C0C-54A7-4DB1-9AF3-B22E63D00405}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\SharedTaskScheduler\".
• Delete the registry key "{A4F94C0C-54A7-4DB1-9AF3-B22E63D00404}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{A4F94C0C-54A7-4DB1-9AF3-B22E63D00404}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
