Description:

XingHao.LyricsPal is adware that can display lyrics for some music videos on Youtube. It opens a popup windows with advertising first and gets installed as bundled software even if the main software cannot be installed. XingHao.LyricsPal installs for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

• Products that have a key or property named "bi_uninstaller".
• Products that have a key or property named "lrcspal@xinghao.net".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Application Data\Bundled software uninstaller\biclient.exe".
• The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\LyricsPal.exe".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\chrome.crx".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\chrome.manifest".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\FF\chrome.manifest".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\FF\chrome\content\icon.png".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\FF\chrome\content\main.js".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\FF\chrome\content\overlay.xul".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\FF\install.rdf".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\lrcspal.dll".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\Uninstall.exe".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If XingHao.LyricsPal uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry key "{3F06C7BB-8C97-4AD1-B44C-31210D2AB683}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
• Delete the registry key "{A3DAEB01-4C15-4AC6-A689-6406FD954EE0}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{A3DAEB01-4C15-4AC6-A689-6406FD954EE0}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
• Delete the registry key "BI" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
• Delete the registry key "mmiopbgcekanlhpjkonogoljpfmhpkhf" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome\Extensions\".
• Delete the registry key "mmiopbgcekanlhpjkonogoljpfmhpkhf" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Google\Chrome\Extensions\".
• Delete the registry key "XingHaoLyrics" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
• Delete the registry value "{A3DAEB01-4C15-4AC6-A689-6406FD954EE0}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Ext\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry value "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\lyricstmp.exe" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers\".
• Delete the registry value "<$PROGRAMFILES>\XingHaoLyrics\XingHaoUpdater.exe" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers\".
• Delete the registry value "lrcspal@xinghao.net" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\".

If XingHao.LyricsPal uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
