The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Spionfrei" manually.

Description:

Spionfrei claims to be a antispyware solution. When the user starts to scan the computer the software shows some dangerous problems that are false positives and wants the user to buy a licence otherwise he would not be able to fix the problem.

Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

• Shortcuts named "Spyware Browser Antispyware.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyBro\SpyBro.exe".

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

• Items named "Spyware Browser Antispyware.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyBro\SpyBro.exe".
• Items named "Uninstall Spyware Browser Antispyware & KauAntivirus.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyBro\unins000.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries named "SpyBrowser" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyBro\SpyBro.exe /autostart".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Spionfrei uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

• The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SpyBro\TracksEraserPlugins".

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

• Delete the registry key "SpyBrowser" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
• Delete the registry key "{6CF8B48F-CCE9-4C5B-8EF5-79A46A6D4FA1}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{8A2D2E71-1882-44fb-923A-2FE0958B53F5}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{A5571738-602C-4240-A57C-31594D6BF05A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{28A32DE0-48CC-4494-826C-A86458C50AEE}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
• Delete the registry key "No-Spy" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
• Delete the registry key "SpyBrowser" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
• A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ClamComServer.ClamScan", plus associated values.
• A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "ClamComServer.FreshClam", plus associated values.

If Spionfrei uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
