Hi
First we'll need to backup registry:
Start -> Run -> regedit -> ok. Then File -> Export. Give it a name and press Save.
Save text below as fix.reg on Notepad (save it as all files (*.*)) on Desktop
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2726807402-1454960028-1985393105-1006\Software\Microsoft\aldd]
It should look like this -> http://users.telenet.be/bluepatchy/m...images/reg.gif
Doubleclick fix.reg, press Yes and ok.
(In case you are unsure how to create a reg file, take a look here with screenshots.)
Re-scan with spybot and tell me if it still finds the same?

Hi
I've just run Spybot on all four user accounts, having shut down, left for a while and then restarted computer - All are now clear.
I ran Adaware earlier on this afternoon and, whilst it flagged up nothing major, while it was running AVG flagged up several Trojans found in C:\System Volume Information\_restore with various filenames. Is this another problem or will it be cured by reseting the restore point?
-
Sorry, there were two trojans flagged by AVG in files A0048252.dll and A0048267.dll - Trojan horse Lop.BV
-
Hi
Yes, those are in system restore and will be gone after system restore flush.
Any other problems?
-
Hi
No other problems that i can see at the moment - hopefully all is now clear. The pop-ups and page diversions have definitely stopped and for the moment Smitfraud seems to have disappeared - I guess tomorrow will be the test!
-
Hi
Ok, wait couple of days and tell me if all stays clear :)

Hi
Will do and thanks for spending most of your weekend helping me and the others out - it is very much appreciated, even more so when PC World told me to take the computer back to factory state.
Can I just ask whether I will now be ok to use internet banking, ebay etc?

Hi
Ok and thank you once again, I will definitely be back should any more problems occur (hopefully they won't!)
Will let you know in a couple of days
Thanks

Hi Shaba
Just to let you know, looks like we're still clear, have just run Spybot on all accounts - no threats found and have had no further problems.
Have you any advice on anything else i need to add to my arsenal to prevent this again, I am running AVG antivirus, ZoneAlarm firewall as well as Spybot, AdAware SE Presonal and SpywareBlaster all updated regularly. My daughter uses Windows Live Messenger alot and was wondering if there is anything that can protect the computer from mishaps occurring through the use of this program. I suspect this to be the cause of the problems, either that or bebo.com
I would also like to know about resetting the restore point and whether I have to uninstall Vundofix or whether it's best left where it is.
Thank you once again for all your help
