I tried it that way once, but went back to well done. For some reason I always like having steak with garden salad. And onions on the steak. Nummy nummy.

I went to one of the grocery stores a month or so ago with visions of (which is strange, because you'd think I'd have visions of chocolate cake!) their premade salads dancing through my head, and I went to the shelves they're usually on, and saw....almost nothing. Baffled, I took one of the lonely spinach and mushroom salads, which was pretty good but not what I had in mind. I learned later there was a romaine lettuce recall. I didn't think every salad would have romaine lettuce, but apparently they were taking no chances and biffed any salad with lettuce, lol! :laugh:

I remember that, chances are they didn't want to risk anything, cross contamination? so they did right to remove it all.
