to me it always tasted like brown sugar liquefied.
Yeah, I guess it does taste similar. Speaking of brown sugar, I always remember as a kid family members having it in a cupboard for years and years, and wondering what they used it for. I still don't know because I never asked.
Sugar Cubes...
I think my mother made cookies from it.
sugar cubes=> coffee
Maybe that's why my family members had it. It never seemed to be used, it just sort of stayed there and none ever seemed to be missing from it, lol.
Cafe Mocha...
I worked with a woman once who used brown sugar in her coffee
So.... I tried it, must be an acquired taste.
Yeah, that seems like something where the strong taste of coffee and then brown sugar wouldn't pair together real well. I switched to tea and sweetener years ago, so now white sugar tastes kind of funny to me whenever I have it. :)
I don't drink much tea anymore.
My mother drank black coffee, that is the yuckiest stuff.
I used to drink coffee for a couple years, but I could never drink black coffee. Blech.
The mostly universally understood coffee order across Canada: double double.
That sounds like someone ordering a shot of whiskey
Whiskey Sour...
hehe, I guess it does sound like a whiskey order.
Sour Grapes
Ever bought fresh fruit, pop one in your mouth and then it's the most sour thing on the planet?
Goodness I hate that.
Me, too. That happens with Green grapes a lot, which is a shame because they're my favourite.
I was rummaging through the fridge a week or so ago and had cantaloupe and yogurt, so I sliced the cantaloupe in half and removed the seeds to make a little shallow bowl then plopped the yogurt in it. It actually wasn't half bad. :)
I also like it with cottage cheese.
Cottage cheese with drained mandarin oranges
I've never had that before, but it sounds good. :)
I like the days when I just throw Rice Krispies in a bowl and call it supper.
I can't get away with that, but I like the plan.
Add marshmallows and let's have treats!
Yum!
Rice Krispie Squares...
I wonder who first came up with that recipe?
No idea but they deserve an award
