yeah, wikipedia sometimes is quite fun to read. As computer scientist always work with the worst case possible, I say:
Murphy's Law :D:
lol! :laugh:Quote:

Yes, it is. I get on wikipedia and sometimes end up clicking link after link. I don't end up spending as much time on it as when I look at tv tropes, though.
I also sometimes listen to wikipedia being updated before I go to sleep:

The Law of Sod...
Murphy's Law, Law of Sod == Just My Luck
When it rains it pours.....
When I was a kid I didn't know that phrase had to do with luck, I thought people were really talking about rain. I was a bit baffled by it, though not as much as the first time I heard someone say "it's raining cats and dogs."
Blindsided...
I still don't understand the 'raining cats and dogs' thing. Maybe they had veeeery different weather before our time, lol.
Caught off guard.....
Oh, I never had heard that before. Well, look at that.
I googled it last night, and for the first time I think this has ever happened the entire internet seemed to just sort of shrug it's shoulders and say "nope, not too sure on the raining cats and dogs thing." Usually if the internet doesn't know about a thing, it just sort of collectively seems to make something up.
And here I half vaguely thought it would be some sage old saying about the rain coming down as fast as dogs running after cats would be or something like that, lol!
you know anything is possible. Different regions have sayings for just about anything probably not related to what others know.
just go with the flow.
surprise!
