Why does teatimer use excessive CPU memory? I hope in Spybot 2.0 they use something else and not teatimer.
When will we get a preview or beta release of Spybot 2.0???:D:
what are the temporary files that spybot cleans before a scan is performed?
When will we see the Spybot 2.0 preview?
I thought that 1.6.2 was the last version before SB 2.0... so there will be a SB version 1.9 after 1.6.2? I am really enjoying the improvements in SB 1.6.2! Can't wait to see SB 2.0:bigthumb:
Thanks for the information:). I will probably live without it for now (don't want to re-install).
does Spybot 1.6.2 have the right-click scan? I didn't see it when i downloaded it...
btw... I am very happy with the new version! Good Job Spybot Team!:bigthumb:
Instead of listing the new features that are included with Spybot 2.0 on a blog or forum... would the people at Safer-networking ever consider making a video of Spybot 2.0 displaying the new features...
what new "features" are coming with Spybot 1.6.1?
I know your getting tired of me asking... will Spybot 1.6.1 final version come out tomorrow, January 21, 2009?
When is version 1.6.1 going to be released??
I have Spybot 1.6 installed and it is a wonderful product!:bigthumb: I have lately heard a lot about Malwarebytes and A-squared that i figured i would give them a shot.
Thanks for letting me know...
I was just asking because there are other free products out there that detect viruses along with spyware.... so i was just asking why spybot didn't.
Thanks for the information and for making...
I think spybot would be more efficient and keep up to speed with other spyware programs if it would update daily. Also, i think if spybot also detected viruses it would be very good...
How does Spybot protection work in Firefox?? When i go to Internet Explorer i see it working and what it blocks... but not in Firefox.
Is there not a "plug-in" for Firefox like IE?

Okay. Well i will try A-squared and Malwarebytes... thanks for all the help!
You can now close this thread.
When is Spybot 2.0 expected to be released(final version)? I'm really excited to start using the 2.0 version based on what i saw in all the 2.0 blog posts.;)
Thanks for the help. There is one more program i am curious about... do you know anything about Superantispyware?
Does it provide good protection and detection?
I know about AVG 8.0 Free and that it includes both virus and spyware protection. I'm still using AVG 7.5 Free for now until AVG Technologies forces me to update to AVG 8.0 Free.
I'm looking for...
If Spybot 1.6.1.41 the release candidate... is the final version coming out this week or next week??
Maybe either a Christmas or a New Year's present?

No harm in asking that question :D: I know spybot has real time protection... i tried Spyware Terminator. Didn't really like it because it hogs resources and i don't need all the things that come...
Between the two of them... which one has the best detection? Do either of them offer real-time protection in the free version?
Thanks
drummer
I am planning to replace AVG Anti-spyware (updates for it are ending) with either A-squared or Malwarebytes Anti-malware. Anyone know which is best or whether i should use both???
let me know!...
