I've got a 2.4G Dual Core with 1G RAM. Was running 1.4 Spybot.

I ran BitDefender AntiVirus, AdAware and XoftSpy before I posted - nothing.

Interestingly I turned on the TeaTimer today and couldn't then connect to the internet so I've uninstalled SpyBot. Works...

Having read of a similar problem, I tried ticking just one box at a time in Settings/File Sets. The results are:-

MalwareC.sbi Scan stops part way through

PUPS.sbi Closes down...

no-one has any idea or any clues?

I've tried scanning maybe half a dozen times but the scan always stops at the exact same point - almost halfway through.

I can do other things with the computer so its only the scan that freezes....

SpyBot freezes on my machine after a minute or two as well. I can run scans by BitDefender, AdAware and XoftSpy without a problem and can do other things when SpyBot hangs.
