OK. I've cleared all browser caches and ALL user temp folders. Same problem.
The scan reaches around 13400 and then slows to a crawl.

Not recently. I'll do that and see what happens. FYI, this is an old W2k station that is only used to evaluate software. It's image of C:, last created 2 years ago, is restored after each evaluation...

After applying today's updates, the scan seems to be stuck on Virtumonde.dll. The scan is advancing slowly, but it's been on Virtumonde.dll for a good 40 minutes.

Anyone have any idea?

You guys have outdone yourselves.

My average scan times have gone from about 50 minutes to under 15. Wow! Well done (1.6 Beta 1 vs 1.5.x)

I've had GDI resource problem after installing 1.5.2 on a number of W98 systems. The problem only occurs when I run the updater. Scans and immunizations work fine.

Anyone else having problem retrieving updates today (11:1 EST) using either V1.4 or v1.5. I'm getting Checksum errors on all the servers for the detection updates.

FYI, the latest beta (SpybotSD.exe-1.5.1.16-2007-09-24-issues-76-78-79-84-85 fixed ALL my outstanding problems running 1.5 under Win98SE.

I've started getting STOP blue screens since upgrading to 1.5.x. Although I not sure th 2 are related, disabling Teatimer seems to "fix" the problem.
