Thanks...I learned a few things.

Here the log - and just to see what would happen I used the HP restore feature (went back 2 days) and now I can boot into safe mode again.

Forgot to mention that it gives me a "stuck key" message when I try to boot into safemode.

I did the killbox and now it won't boot into safemode at all (F8 or ctl key, I tried both). I just used it a couple of days ago to run S&D.
