Agreed, not ideal for me but I'd rather have the protection and deal with the cookies.
Perhaps I'll immunize, copy that cookies.dat to some other location and write a script to replace a changed...

With regards to my previous post Spybot is Definitely the culprit.
I just updated and Immunized and there is a new Cookies file!
I watched it in Windows Explorer go gtom 1Kb...
Issue with Spybot adding cookies to the Opera browser.
This is not the first time I've noticed this behaviour but the first I've been able to identify Spybot as the possible culprit.
