i just did it again. I waited 2 hours and it was working fine. Then all of a sudden internet explorer closed on me again. Is there another way to do this?

I apologize for taking so long to reply with the items you need. Everytime i run the scan it gets to about 60% and my internet explorer exits. I am still trying so maybe i will get lucky.

Well, i dont know if it matters. But the combofix log was called log.txt.
