Thank you for your input. You are right, Norton 360 Deluxe is interfering with the process and clearing the HOSTS file. There are a couple things I wish to ask there. 1. The HOSTS file does not contain any entries to block all the telemetry parameters that spybot anti beacon says it is blocking. What is happening?- mohankrajan
