Spyware problems i'm experiencing.

I fixed your latest suggestion about the spycatcher. Yeah, I did uninstall it when I found it wasn't helping my problem... I uninstalled Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta version because every time I've run it,as of late, it starts windows installer and then bounces to Dell Back-up program. Haven't run the freshly downloaded Microsoft AntiSpyware yet though. What do you suggest regarding safeguarding my system with respect to future Spysheriff issues aside from surfing on sites that are non-risky. I have Norton 06...Should I employ Zone Alarm beyond the trial period? Should I continue to use Micros AntSpyware download(as long as this Dell Back-up problem can either be corrected or if it doesn't present a serious problem)?
Again, I need to thank you for your assistance with this dilemma of mine. It is truly much appreciated. Craig
