problem in fixing problem

Hello All,

I am a computer dummy and try to be self sufficient but sometimes I need help!

Ran a S&D and 2 problems were found -

Microsoft.Windows.RedirectedHosts

Try to get the problems fixed but the reply is -

unexpected error in fixing problems etc etc access is denied


HELP! What can I do here?

The message you are getting suggests that the user account that you are running Spybot-S&D from does not have permission to write to the HOSTS file.

This can be caused by running Spybot-S&D from a user account that does not have permission to write to the HOSTS file or by other anti-malware software that is locking the HOSTS file to prevent unauthorized changes.

If you are running Spybot-S&D from a user account that would normally have permission to write to the HOSTS file, please list the other anti-malware/firewall software that you are running in the system.
