Exclamation Cannot Access many Anti-Virus Pages, load hijack properly, so much more then bar888

I dont have a clue whats wrong with my computer. I've been at this for days and am so frustrated. I have come across so many similiar posts, problems, on so many Boards. I try to follow through and check out if i have any of the same problems, but things just dont seem that way.

    Problems:
    1. cannot access anything through "start" - "run" , will flash periodically and close almost immidietly.
    2. constantly more then one Internet explorer opens up with "cannot display page"
    3. Cannot access popular adware sites, virus scans, AVG
    4. Firewall is down (reinstalled the entire AVG system, worked for a minute and then went down again)
    5. Homepage changed, weird sites.
    6. Cannot keep "Control Folder" options changed, they will change back.
    7. Used the SmitFraudfix in safe mode, worked temporarily, Virus back.
    8. Hijackthis does not want to stay open, will close when opened, i have managed to get a log in safemode, very difficult. But will post.

Any help is appreciated, I feel like im going around and around in circles.

    Hi darlingnikki

Download Hoster and unzip it to your desktop.

Open Hoster that you earlier unzipped on your desktop

    • Click "Make Hosts Writable?" upper right corner (if available)
    • Click "Restore Microsoft's Original Hosts File" and then click OK
    • Close Hoster

Note; IF you used any custom Hosts (eg. MVPS Hosts), you will have put them back manually

    Boot in safe mode

    Delete this:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\fwxhlnln\

    Please do a search:
"Run "Start">"Search">"All Files and Folders"> enter winlogon.lnk in "All or part of file name". Select "More advanced options". Check-mark "Search System Folders", "Search hidden files and folders", and "Search subfolders". Click "Search". Right click the file and select delete.

    Empty Recycle Bin.

NOTE: That file may not exist at all! If it doesn't, just skip the step above.

Open HijackThis, click do a system scan only and checkmark these:

    F3 - REG:win.ini: load=C:\WINDOWS\system32\fwxhlnln\winlogon.exe
    F3 - REG:win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\system32\fwxhlnln\winlogon.exe
    O4 - Startup: winlogon.lnk = ?

Close all windows including browser and press fix checked.

    Reboot

    Send a fresh HijackThis log.
