my computer crashes during spybot s&d scan

Scan does not complete as PC crashes before finish. This never happened before. Running updated v. 1.4.

Can anybody help?

Can you give more information please.

Your Operating System.
Other security programs installed.
When did you install Version 1.4 and was it a clean install or installed over a previous version.
Where in the scan does the computer crash and please describe 'crash'
Any error messages?
Have you experienced other problems with your computer; for instance were you running a scan because you might have an infection.
