Default Teatimer: How do I know what changes to accept or deny?

    Hi,

Whenever Teatime pops up with notice of a registry change, how do I know what changes to accept or deny? How can I be sure? Thank you.

When Teatimer pops up,there should be an Info button you can press and Teatimer will display info about an item,if any is available. If you press the question mark button, that should open Teatimers help file.

Yeah, so if there are no info, which happens majority of the time, how do I know for sure?

Simplest way is always accept unless you think there might be something fishy, like you didn't just start an install of some sort yourself and/or you were visiting an untrusted web site, then you should deny.

Well,it depends what you're doing at the time.If you're installing something you think is legit,it'd be most likely normal to expect a change. If you feel that change is legit, then you'd Allow it.If something appears out of nowhere, that might not be a good thing(though not always, some things autoupdate, etc.)

Look at that, two advisors for the price of one, lol.Stop sneaking up on me,Bitman, lol.
