I need to know more about this spyware as our network seems infested with it. Our security expert seems to think it is a false positive.

NetSpy is a KeyLogger:
- eTrust Spyware Encyclopedia - NetSpy KeyLogger

Although it is possible the detection is a false positive, the lists of updates do not show that the detections for NetSpy have been updated in a least a year.
Please post a log of the actual detection(s) you are getting so that we can see what is being detected. To do that:
- Run another scan.
- When the scan completes, right click on the results list, select "Copy results to clipboard".
- Then paste (Ctrl+V) those results to a new post in this thread.
