Default Windows Task Manager running 49 processes

My computer is always giving me the message that it is expanding my virtual memory. If I open the task manager, it informs me that I have 49 processes running and I have not opened any applications. I believe this has something do with start up. Please help!

Have you taken a look at what is running?

    Open Spybot-S&D > Mode > Advanced > Tools > System StartUp.

A window will open that shows your startups; one can find more information about known entries by clicking on the arrow to the right.

If you right click in the main window, you can copy to clipboard and post the results here if you wish.
