    Default Another Spy Sheriff victim

    Hi.

I can see from this forum that a few others are suffering the same problem as myself - they got Spy Sherriffed! I was considering following the exact same instructions that was given to others with the same problem, but what cures one person poisons another.

Anyway, here is the background: I got infected with Spy Sheriff, and Ive been running AV (Norman, not Norton, I got ripped off by Dell), Spybot and GIANT (Microsoft), and now the only only problem that remains is that whenever I scan with Spybot, it keeps finding 'Windows.ActiveDesktop'. It keeps on finding it

Well, here is what you need to see:

    Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

    Thanks lads (and ladies!)

NB EDIT: Also, when I was infected, my background was changed to 'your computer has been infected' screen whcih Ive seen other users post... so I found that file (it was desktop.htm) and renamed it to stop it from being my background. And my homepage had been set to 'secure32.htm', so i renamed that to prevent someone in my family opening IE and accidentally clicking it.
